چکیده

Abstract Olea europaea L. (olive, Oleaceae) constitutes a source of many bioactive compounds, which have recognized benefits for both human health and technological purposes. The present article was carried out to evaluate the biological activity oleuropein (an ester 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl) ethanol (hydroxytyrosol) has oleosidic skeleton that is common secoiridoid glucosides Oleaceae). It occurred in leaf extracts four olive cultivars (Chemlali, Manzanilla, Picaul Toffahi) as some anticancer antioxidant agents their consequences on action Hordeum vulgare (barley). total phenolic flavonoid compounds were extracted from leaves by 95% then analyzed high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). study evaluates ethanolic extract against breast hepatocellular carcinoma cells showing high values. Also, exhibited highly consequence potentiality barley assessed using diphenyl picryl hydrazyl method (DDPH). These results pave way utilization natural agents.

Bacteriocins as Potential Anticancer Agents

Cancer remains one of the leading causes of deaths worldwide, despite advances in its treatment and detection. The conventional chemotherapeutic agents used for the treatment of cancer have non-specific toxicity toward normal body cells that cause various side effects. Secondly, cancer cells are known to develop chemotherapy resistance in due course of treatment. Thus, the demand for novel anti...

Plant Antimicrobial Peptides as Potential Anticancer Agents

Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are part of the innate immune defense mechanism of many organisms and are promising candidates to treat infections caused by pathogenic bacteria to animals and humans. AMPs also display anticancer activities because of their ability to inactivate a wide range of cancer cells. Cancer remains a cause of high morbidity and mortality worldwide. Therefore, the developme...
